Sillunu Oru Kaadhal seems to be the flavor of the industry this week as everyone is talking about it. The movie is set for release just before the Suriya-Jyothika marriage on September 11.

Sillunu Oru Kaadhal has been censored and has got the clearance from the officialdom.

Suriya feels that film has been elevated to a new level after the re-recording of A R Rahman. ‘It is amazing. When I saw the film after all the re-recording, it was amazing. Rahman’s magic has worked brilliantly,’ he gushes.

Jyothika’s favorite song in the film is New York Nagaram. Sung by A R Rahman himself, this song is one of the chartbusters from the film.

Jyothika, on her part, cannot help talk about Anthony’s editing. Anthony, as everyone knows is the real hotshot editor in the circuit. ‘The feeling you get seeing the film after Anthony’s work is amazing,’ she holds forth.

Both Suriya and Jyothika are also in unison in the appreciation of Rajasekhar’s camera work. Jyothika in fact goes one step further and says that ‘when Suriya and I have worked with Rajasekhar the film has become a hit’.

The film has been shot extensively in Rajamundari, Vizag, some portions in Mumbai, some in Chennai, songs in Canada and Switzerland.

Suriya cannot help marvel at Jyothika’s work. ‘She is such a positive performer that her zeal rubs on to you,’ he says.

During the shoot in Andhra Pradesh, fans even in remote villages mobbed Suriya. ‘It is all because of Ghajini magic,’ he says. Jyothika too was popular with the Telugu fans and she was constantly reminded of her good show in Chandramukhi all across Andhra.

Jyothika is impressed with the role and performance of Bhoomika in the film. Normally, actresses generally fight shy of appreciating co-actresses’ work. But Jyothika is open and different. ‘You’ll see a totally different Bhoomika in the film,’ she says.

Talking about the director Krishna, Suriya says he is a stickler for excellence. ‘He will not compromise on anything. If he wanted a particular feel, he will wait till he gets that’.
