Much hype and expectations were running on Sillunu Oru Kaadhal before it release. Post release it has become clear that the film has matched it. This slick three-cornered love theme has really opened big in Tamil Nadu.

In Chennai alone, it has been packed houses all across. Theatre owners says that the advance booking for the days to come is also over.

In other words, Sillunu Oru Kaadhal has all the makings of a big hit. The film, primarily aimed at the youths and yuppies, has got the mix and method right.

‘It is full of youthful exhilaration,’ says V Ramya, a college student, who saw the movie yesterday. ‘The romance portions are delightful,’ says her friend K Preethi.

As it happens, young girls seem to be come in high numbers, suggesting that Suriya’s stock as a lover-boy is at an all-time high.

Mature-minded people enjoy the Suriya-Jyothika portions while Suriya-Bhoomika scenes are lapped up the teenage section.

Of course, everyone seems to love A R Rahman’s music.

All told, Suriya-Jyothika seem to have got the best gift before their wedding.
