As reported by Indiaglitz earlier Silambarasan will be one of the prominent younger generation actors contesting on behalf of the incumbent administration lead by President R.Sarathkumar, in the elections to be held on October 18.

Sarathkumar filed the nomination to retain his presidential post a couple of days back along with senior actor Vijayakumar who filed nomination to contest the post of Vice President.

On Gandhi Jayanthi day as many as 27 members contesting on behalf of the team lead by Sarathkumar filed nominations. The list includes Silambarasan who would be contesting for the post of Vice President, Radharavi who would be contesting to retain his post of General Secretary, S.R.Kannan as Treasurer, Nalini, K.Rajendran, T.P.Gajendhran, S.N.Parvathy, Ramki, R.Ravikumar, Mohanram, Jaguar Thangam and others who would be contesting for membership of the Executive council.

The filing of nominations were closed yesterday and the final list of nominees will be announced on October 8.
