In a recent interview, he was asked the reason for postponing his marriage. Simbu replied, Lately I have been getting a lot of questions about my marriage. Few even spread rumours that I am in love with my co-star and I am planning to get married soon. I have been asked this question since I was 19 years old. All parents wish to see their son get married and settle down in life, my parents also wish the same.

He further continued to reveal the reason and said, "But I am a bit scared to get married. I am postponing the marriage because of the fear of getting married in haste and then having problems such as disagreements, fights and divorce. I have decided to wait until the right partner comes along,” said Simbu.

Previously Simbu was involved in a romantic relationship with Hansika and Nayanthara. There were also rumours that the Vallavan actor was planning to marry Trisha. The latest rumour that spread like wildfire was him being romantically involved with his Eeswaran co-star Niddhi Agerwal.
