Actor Silambarasan's 'Achcham Yenbathu Madamaiyada' has taken a bumper opening across Tamil Nadu, especially in Chennai, despite the currency crunch.

We had earlier reported that the film on its first day of release had collected Rs.65 lakhs in Chennai, which is the third highest after Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kabali' and Ilayathalapathy Vijay's 'Theri'.

Now we bring you the three day weekend collection of this Gautham Menon directorial in Chennai.

In its first three day weekend the film has had 511 shows screened across 23 theaters and has achieved an awesome 95% occupancy. With this the film has collected over Rs.2.10 crores (Rs.2,10,35,260).

Like the first day collection, the first weekend collection also, 'AYM' retains the status of the third biggest opening of the year 2016 in Chennai after 'Kabali' and 'Theri'.
