Cool dude Venkat Prabhu who is waiting for the release of his political drama film Maanaadu with Silambarasan in the lead role has reacted to rumours claiming that the story theft case is the reason for the delay in the release.
Venkat Prabhu who has delivered many blockbuster films is now ready with his political thriller film with Simbu and Priyadharshini in lead roles. The makers initially announced that the film will hit the theatres on Diwali this year. But due to undisclosed reasons, the film was postponed.
Venkat Prabhu and producer Suresh Kamatchi took to social media to announce that the film has been postponed to November 25. In the statement written by producer Suresh Kamatchi, he said that the distributors and theatre owners might incur huge losses if Maanaadu releases on the same day as Annaatthe and Enemy. Hence, he has decided to postpone the release of the film.
While many thought it to be a strategy to avert the clash with Super star's Annaatthe various news websites claimed that the story theft case is the main reason for the continuous delay owing to the release of the film. Reacting to one such news Venkat Prabhu took to Twitter and posted a row of laughing emojis and tagged the respective website. Following this, the controversial news was removed.
What makes this political film interesting is the inclusion of the time-loop concept. Apart from Simbu, the film also stars Kalyani Priyadarshan, SJ Suryah, Bharathiraja, SA Chandrasekhar, Karunakaran and Premgi Amaren in important roles.
