Actor Silambarasan sent a strong worded press release in support of Jallikattu a few weeks back. In fact he was the one of the first few film industry celebrities to raise his voice on the issue this year ahead of the Pongal festival season.

Now the issue has spiralled into large and the support for Jallikattu is spreading fast among the common public and most importantly the youngsters of Tamil Nadu who have come to the streets and started conducting democratic form of protests for removing the ban on Jallikattu.

Today a group of students protesting in support of Jallikattu were allegedly beaten up by Police personnel with lathis.

Simbu has become furious after coming to know about this and he has reacted strongly in his Twitter page.
