The Beep song row has subsided, but the police complaints and legal proceedings relating to the song are still haunting Silambarasan who admitted to have written and sung the song which he claims has been leaked in public portals by miscreants.
The latest to join his series of requests to the Madras High Court regarding this issue is his petition to rescue him from making multiple appearances for the same complaint.
Two different complaints are pending against the actor for the song and the Court in its different stages of hearing the cases against Simbu had ordered him in front of Crime Branch of Cyber Crime Police, Chennai and the Investigating officer of another FIR filed against him in Chennai..
Simbu in his petition stated that he cannot be asked to make multiple appearances for the same offense as it would be against the Article 21 of the Indian Constitution. He was supposed to appear in front of Cyber Crime branch on January 29 according to the Court order. He has now sought extension for the same.
