Sigaram Thodu
Playing a cop in Tamil Cinema requires a flair and right from the past, all of the leading actors have taken the cop role quite seriously with the movies going on to create havoc in box office. Now taking the role is Vikram Prabhu for his next film “Sigaram Thodu”, with back to back blockbusters up his sleeve, Vikram prabhu will be counting big to break into the league of bigger heroes and this movie might be the decisive one. Directed by Gaurav, who earlier scripted the Thoonga Nagaram the movie will predominantly dwell on the relationship between a father and his son, with a new twist. The work for Sigaram Thodu is extensive and the director has gone to lengths to get a solid screenplay. As the film has credit card scam as one of the major theme, Gaurav is said to have studied the scam closer through some inmates from Puzhal jails. Taking this as the backdrop, juxtaposing with father-son sentiments and love, the movie looks to pace around in style, well the wait is not far away. Spearheaded by some excellent casting, Sathyaraj plays the father in yet another character role. The actor’s choice of movies have come out quite well lately, and he seems to choose his roles after detailed thinking. As a responsible modern aged father, he should fit the shoes comfortably. Vikram Prabhu, after essaying a villager in Kumki, then transforming to an ultra-cool dude in Arima Nambi plays yet another lad from the city, will be interesting to see how he fares off. Monal Gajjar plays the female lead, and the rest of the cast form with KS Ravikumar, and comedy actor Sathish, and Kovai Sarala. The film has its part of commercial elements with Sathish providing the comic relief. BGM is quite important for a movie that trots around Police, and with Imman at the help of composition there is little to worry for the producers. UTV is producing yet another VIkram Prabhu flick, shows the amount of trust they have on Vikram Prabhu’s abilities. In all, the expectations for this movie paramount, even before its release, be it the work behind the scenes or the music, cinematography and the trailer; all of them have doubled over the days, get ready to see Vikram Prabhu in an all new avatar. |
