Young and promising actor Kathir, who has been known for his unique choice of scripts and characters right from his debut with Madhayanai Koottam, had a great 2018. After starring in movies like Kirumi, Vikram Vedha, Kathir got huge critical and commercial acclaim with his last release Pariyerum Perumal.

The success of the Mari Selvaraj directorial made him a household name, and now, Kathir is ready with his next release. Kathir's next will be the long-delayed, highly anticipated flick Sigai, directed by Jegadeesan Subbu, who had later directed two more movies Pakshi and Bakrid even before Sigai released.

After winning acclaim in various film festivals, the movie was recently acquired by Zee, and yesterday it was officially announced that Sigai will be out online in Zee5 App from January 9. The special preview show of Sigai held yesterday had celebs raving about the movie. After Sigai, Kathir next has Sathru releasing in February.
