Sidharth Bharathan shares an update on mom KPAC Lalitha's health

Veteran Malayalam actress K.P.A.C. Lalitha was hospitalized owing to multiple health issues on Monday. The 74-year-old actress is under close observation of a team of doctors and is reportedly on the path of recovery. Actor-director Sidharth Bharath, son of KPAC Lalitha took to his social media handle and confirmed that his mom’s health was getting better and there was no need to panic. “Amma is fine and recuperating well... no need to panic... thank you all for the love, concern, and prayers,” Sidharth Bharathan said in his social media note.
Earlier, actor Edavela Babu, the General Secretary of AMMA (Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes), too confirmed that the actress was doing fine. He said, "She is now admitted to a hospital at Kochi and today her condition is better. She is diabetic and has a liver complaint also. Her daughter has now come from Pune and is with her.”
Lalitha, the wife of one of Kerala's most popular directors, Bharathan, who passed away in 1998, is also the chairperson of the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi. KPAC Lalitha made her debut in movies in 1969 with KS Sethumadhavan’s directorial ‘Koottukudumbam’. Lalitha has by now acted in over 550 films and has won two National Film Awards besides four state film awards. Though affected by several health issues, the veteran actress is an active presence in many television series.
