The fake notes worth Rs.3 crore printed for Kannada film 'Siddu' (Starring Murali, Deepa – directed by Mahesh Sukadhare) has created ripples in the society. For the climax scene in the film 'Siddu' the heroine Deepa carries a huge bag containing Rs.3 crore of Rs.1000 denomination in bag runs from the bank to meet the hero of the film Murali. On the way she meets with an accident and the currency (fake) notes spills out from a flyover and flies like kites. Director Mahesh Sukadhare shot this scene to give an effective climax.

After the climax is shot for the film producer of the film Chandrasekhar neglected the fake Rs.1000 notes. But each Rs.1000 fake note was sold at Rs.2 in the market. The same notes are now a cause of worry. Many of the citizens have got duped to these fake notes. Now there is an allergy to Rs.1000 notes. The people of Bangalore especially are scared to receive Rs.1000 even in the banks. In places like Koppal, Bellary , Dharwad and Gadag the fake Rs.1000 currency notes has duped many of the villagers.

It is not our fault says producer Chandrasekhar. On each and every Rs.1000 fake note we have clearly mentioned that 'This is for the shooting purpose', in the place of Gandhiji photograph 'Siddu Kannada cinema' is written clearly says Chandrasekhar.
