"Ashamed Edapadi is from my state" - Siddharth slams!

The Citizenship Amendment Bill 2019, which is aimed at providing Indian nationality to non-Muslim refugees from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan was introduced in the Lok Sabha yesterday and this is done amending the Citizenship Act, 1955 to enable Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Christians and Parsis who had come to India from Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan get citizenship.

This CAB has been receiving criticism from many political parties and celebrities, and as ADMK has supported the bill, actor Siddharth, who has constantly opposed the moves of the government has tweeted criticizing the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy, and that ADMK lost ethos.

He tweeted Deeply ashamed that Edapadi Palanisamy represents my state and our people. Supporting the #CAB shows his true colours, his lack of integrity and his desperate need to remain powerful at any cost. You will all be held accountable. Enjoy your temp power till then.#IndiaRejectsCAB. #Jayalalithaa would have never supported #CAB. How the #AIADMK has crashed in its ethos, in her absence!.
