Before few days, Indian sprinter Dutee Chand revealed that she is in a same sex relationship, and she is the first Indian sportsperson to openly acknowledge being gay. She had said that she got the courage to reveal it now as same sex relationship has been decriminalized by Supreme court. Dutee had won 2 silver medals in 2018 Asian games, and is now focusing on Olympics.

Following her announcement, celebrities and netizens across the nation wished her and appreciated her for her coming forward to reveal her relationship. Actor Siddharth, who is an active Twitter user, tweeted "You be you #DuteeChand. It takes incredible strength to stand where you do today. You are a champion on the tracks and off. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Stay blessed. You inspire all of us."

Siddharth is currently acting in debutant Sai Sekhar directorial horror flick Aruvam co-starring Catherine Tresa, and the actor has also wrapped Sasi directorial Sivappu Manjal Pachai also starring GV Prakash. His Netflix web series Leila directed by Deepa Mehta and co-starring Kaala fame Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi premieres next month.
