Siddharth and music director SS Thaman had debuted as heroes way back in 2003 with the youthful entertainer Boys directed by Shankar. Post the release of the movie, Siddharth turned a successful star with successful movies in Tollywood and Kollywood, while Thaman switched to composing music.

Now, Siddharth and Thaman are back, as Siddharth has crooned a song for the Telugu version of the upcoming movie Kannaadi, titled as Ninnu Veedani Needanu Nene. Kannadi is directed by Caarthik Raju of Attakathi Dinesh starrer movies Thirudan Police and Ulkuthu fame.

Kannaadi stars Sundeep Kishan and debutant Anya Singh, and the romantic thriller is also co-produced by Sundeep Kishan himself. Siddharth has previously sung songs in several Telugu movies and he has crooned a Telugu number after more than 5 years. Kannaadi and its Telugu version are nearing completion, targeting a summer release.
