'Santosh Subramaniam' will be admired by all age-groups, says director Raja with confidence. The greatest commercial value in contemporary films is love. We have portrayed love in a different form in 'Santosh Subramaniam', which would be loved by all, says director Raja.
The movie, a remake of Telugu hit 'Bommarillu', features Jeyam Ravi, Genelia and Prakashraj in lead roles. Former international cricketer Sadagoppan Ramesh plays a prominent role.
A huge house constructed at a cost of Rs. 50 lakh and a bus with state-of-the-art facilities bought at a cost of Rs 10 lakh, to be used in the movie are the highlights, says Raja.
According to Raja, the movie would be one of the rare movies that have a love story laced with family sentiments.
Devi Sri Prasad has come up with catchy musical score for the movie. Boys fame Siddharth, who had been part of Telugu hits like 'Nuvvastanantae Nenodantana' and 'Bommarillu', has sung a song.
Remakes are no mere translations. It is a difficult job and one has to give his best to arrive at quality product, he adds.
Kannan handles cinematography while Manoj does the editing. Plans are on to release the movie by January.
