In the wake of reports that Murugadoss's film with Tamil superstar Vijay is on the floors despite the Kollywood shutdown, Siddharth has tweeted out his opinion on the same. "Every single film is an equal challenge in today's brutal cinema marketplace.
If these special permissions to shoot are given to one, please give them to all producers. We are all the same. In the absence of equality and unity, god save us," he says.
He is critical of the government's apathy towards the Tamil film industry. "This TN govt. does not and will not care about cinema. They have proved that for a decade.
It will take a miracle for them to suddenly turn around and change that. Revamping the industry is needed, but at what cost? Let the industry show unity first. Then change will follow."
As soon as he criticized the alleged partisanship in Kollywood, the 'Bommarillu' actor was severely trolled by many. A troll said, "Telugu industry kicked you off. Now it's time for Tamil industry to (do the same to the) Insecurity Actor Siddharth."
"Two sets of few jobless idiots spoiling everyone's name and time. Paavam Vijay-Ajith," Sid said in reaction.
