Siddharth Narayan received a token of appreciation from NDTV when he received the NDTV Indian of the Year 2015. The award is given away to one achiever in each of these categories: Lifetime Achievement Award, Business leader of the year, Sportsperson of the year, Entertainer of the year, Youth icon of the year.
Siddharth received the award for his voluntary relief work during the December floods in Chennai last year. He wore a bandhgala for the event.
It is worth noting that Siddharth still continues his work for the rehabilitation of the victims of severe rains and flood and has formed an NGO Chennai Micro for this purpose. Siddharth said that he received award on behalf of all the faceless volunteers who involved themselves in rain relief and rescue operations in Chennai.
