The news that Siddharth has been signed up for a Hindi film alongside Aamir Khan was first broken by IndiaGlitz in these columns (in the Tamil section).

But this one is no breaking news about the new hero who has wowed all since his NVNV.

The Sankranthi release has obviously catapulted the boyish-charmed Siddharth and naturally he is the most sought after in the industry.

His urban good looks, his simple ease in front of the camera and his essential acting technique have all found favor with the Telugu audiences and directors.

Most directors are prodding the producers to get him signed on the dotted line.

But the fact is Siddharth is not ready.

To be sure, time was once when he openly solicited offers from directors and producers. After Boys and Yuva, he was out of work for long. But after NVNV happened, Siddharth is a different man.

Like an out of form batsman who suddenly scores a ton, Siddharth is a much more confident person. He is no longer despondent and diffident. He knows that his time has come and nobody can stop him.

That's why he is taking one thing at a time and not jump into it all.

Apart from the Hindi movie, he is keeping his options open. And that's a good option, isn't?
