Actor Siddharth's latest release 'Aranmanai 2' is doing brisk business at the box office. Adding to the good news is that the actor has won the prestigious NDTV Indian of the Year 2015 award for the yeomen services he rendered to the rain and flood affected people of Chennai, when the city was struck by the deluge in December 2015.
It is worth noting that Siddharth still continues his work for the rehabilitation of the victims of severe rains and flood and has formed an NGO Chennai Micro for this purpose.
Reacting to the National honour conferred on him, Siddharth said he receives award on behalf of all the faceless volunteers who involved themselves in rain relief and rescue operations in Chennai.
On behalf of all the faceless volunteers, happy to receive the #NDTVIndian award...Live and help live. #ChennaiMicro #TNfloods #JaiHind
