Popular actor Siddharth's new film 'Chithha' has released today and is getting highly positive reviews from critics and also from fans, The film dealing with child abuse is directed by S. U. Arunkumar of 'Pannaiyarum Padminiyum' and 'Sethupathi' fame. Apart from Siddharth the performances of Sahasra Shree as Sundari, Nimisha Sajayan and Anjali Nair have moved audiences to tears.
Siddharth was involved in a press meet to promote the Kannda version of 'Chithha' when pro-Kannada organisations suddenly barged in and created a ruckus. They shouted in Kannada "How can a Tamil movie be promoted here when the Cauvery water issue is raging"
Siddharth tried his best to make peace but it was futile and in the end he walked out of the stage and the building. It is worth noting that a bandh is going to be held across the Karnataka state tomorrow to prevent water supply to Tamil Nadu.
