With online platforms such as Amazon Netflix making their entry into the Indian space, many are happy. Why? It means the possibility of more quality content and finding new talents. However, the seems to be not the scenario, as expected.

Taking the issue to his social page, Siddharth stated that independant cinema is dying. He also brought out an analogy how when cinema is able to see the difference between an IPL match and a test match, why isn’t so possible in films as well.

Furthermore the actor called on the need for these platforms to recognise young and unique talent lest we’ll have to bear with bloated commercial cinema only.

What do you think about Siddharth’s opinions? What do you think should be the need of the hour to change this scenario around? Comment your opinions down below.

Netflix and Amazon better start recognizing young talent and unique content. Otherwise we will only see the same bloated commercial cinema there too and that is a waste! Hollywood has gained tremendously from these channels. India deserves better. So far, it's dismal.
