Actor Siddharth has apologized to Saina Nehwal for making a lewd comment against her. The other day, he used the term 'subtle cock' while commenting on Saina's tweet about an incident involving Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
After a huge row erupted over the tweet, the 'Maha Samudram' actor wrote that it was a rude joke that he wrote as a response to a tweet of Saina. "I may disagree with you on many things, but even my disappointment or anger when I read your tweet, cannot justify my tone and words," the 'Bommarillu' star added.
He further said that he has more grace in him than that. Sid added that a joke must not be explained.
The actor clarified that there was no malicious intent in his joke. Describing himself as a staunch feminist ally, Sid added that no gender was implied in his tweet. He described Saina as a champion.
The other day, the National Commission for Women asked the Maharashtra DGP to file an FIR against Sid.
