Pilla Jamindaru's director Ashok, who has achieved the distinction of delivering a critically-acclaimed hit, as also a commercially successful one, despite having made the film on a shoestring budget, has bagged an important film now. It will have Siddharth playing the lead role, while the rest of the cast and technical crew will be announced soon.

Scheduled to go on the floors in the new year, the film will be produced by K Venugopal, co-producer Chakravarthy Ramachandra and presented by KVV Sathyanarayana. Made under the banner of Sri Soudamini Creations, the film will be a youthful entertainer and a love story.

Titled as Sukumarudu, the film was officially announced today. The lead actor is currently shooting for Love Failure in Chennai. He may join Sukumarudu once he is done with the bi-lingual. Love Failure, produced by himself, is understood to be fast approaching the final leg.

In the new year, Sid will shuttle between Nandini Reddy's movie and Sukumarudu.
