The most popular Bengali name in the Telugu Staes as far as Telugu cinema is concerned is Siddhu Siddharth Roy, Pawan Kalyan's name in 'Kushi'. Perhaps, Nani's character may utter his name in a similar manner in 'Shyam Singha Roy'. The 'Jersey' actor will be seen in the role of a Bengali youth in this prestigious movie, whose first look is out.
Helmed by Rahul Sankrityan of ‘Taxiwaala’ fame, the first look suggests that Nani has got a vintage Bengali man's look. He is masculine yet sober. Possibly, this is a part-period movie. An unseen woman, also clad in Bengali-style attire, is seen hugging him from behind.
If Sai Pallavi is the first heroine, 'SSR' has got the 'Uppena' sensation Krithi Shetty in a key role. Madonna Sebastian of 'Premam' fame is also a heroine. Produced by Venkat S Boyanapalli, the film has been shot in Kolkata.
Mickey J Meyer is composing the tunes. Rahul Ravindran, Murali Sharma and Abhinav Gomatam are part of the cast. With the story by Satyadev Janga and others, its cinematography is by Sanu John Varghese. Production Design is by Avinash Kolla.
