Even before the set of New Year Ugadi – Hevilambi Samvasthara, the noted singer, tutor of music via Sadhana Music school with over two and half decades Manjula Gururaj opens up a new platform for cultural activities at Malleswaram MPL Shastry Road.

It is four floors Shukra` Sadhana Music school. At this place a decade ago Dr KJ Yesudas inaugurated Malleswaram branch of Sadhana Music School. Today at the same place is four floor building that is meant especially for cultural activities.

Shukra` auditorium on fourth floor has 180 seating capacity, fully air conditioned, acoustically treated interiors, professional sound equipment, professional LED lighting system, unlimited power supply video projection screen, air conditioned green room, lift, elevator etc – it is available for live music performance, dance, theatre acts, press meets, audio video release events, movie screening, corporate video conferences and seminars, stage rehearsals. Shukra a logo formed by Kiran of Vijaya Karnataka publication was striking to the eyes and this Shukra` has multiple meanings according to Manjula Gururaj. She has realized her dream of a good platform for cultural exchange in two years at this place after putting down the old building.

Manjula Gururaj thanked SBI officials Sadashiv and Chandrasekhar for sanctioning of building loan. The land loan was cleared first and then building loan was acquired. Srinivas of Prabhat Kalavidaru has done interior while the exterior designing is the concept of Lakshmi Narasimhan. Manjula got the title Shukra` from his son.
