On her birthday, Shruti has been casted in this big budget action thriller

Actress Shruti Haasan is celebrating her 35th birthday today and Hombale Films gave her the perfect gift by casting her in the upcoming 'Salaar'. Lead actor Prabhas also took to his Instagram to wish the the actress and welcome her to the project. "Happiest birthday @shrutizhaasan! Looking forward to working with you in #salaar," he wrote.

The film is written and directed by Prashanth Neel, who is known for directing the 'KGF' franchise. Although the film is an a tion thriller, Prabhas will be seen in a never-seen-before look.

Earlier, Prabhas described the film as, "This is a very exciting film and my character is extremely violent, so this is something I haven’t really done before. It’s a pan-Indian film and I can’t wait to be on the sets already."
