Actress Shruti Haasan will be acting in veteran director Mahesh Manjrekar's next Hindi film. But she is yet to sign the dotted lines. If the formalities are completed, she will be paired opposite Vidyut Jammwal in the film. 

Vidyut who played the villain role in Thala Ajith's 'Billa 2' and Thalapathy Vijay's 'Thuppakki' has now become an established hero in Bollywood. Shruti has already acted with Vidyut Jammwal in the film ''Yaara' which is yet to release. 

The elder daughter of Kamal Haasan will be playing a small town girl in the film who is educated and independent. Vidyut on the other hand plays the role of an NRI who returns to Mumbai. Their love portions will be vital for the story. The film will also mark the comeback of veteran actors Naseerudhin Shah and Amol Palekar.

The film which will be produced by Vijay Galani is expected to go on floors in Aparil. Apparently Shruti and Vidyut will attend a two week workshop before starting the shoot.
