Shruti Haasan to star in 'Thani Oruvan' remake

Actress Shruti Haasan is likely to romance Ram Charan in the actor's new movie, a remake of Tamil hit Thani Oruvan. Sources say director Surender Reddy, who worked with Shruti in Race Gurram has approached the actress to reprise Nayanthara's role in this remake. Shruti was extremely happy with the offer and has readily agreed to Reddy's proposal as the role has lot of scope to showcase her acting prowess.

Shruti has been offered a whopping Rs 1.50 cr to sign the dotted line. Earlier, Shruti was paired opposite Ram Charan in Yevadu and their crackling romance has strike a chord with the audience. The film is in pre-production stages and the makers are planning to launch it later this year. Allu Aravind is set to produce this film under Geetha Arts banner.

Shruti's last film Srimanthudu was a monster hit at the box office and the actress has become the most sought after actress in Tollywood. Besides, Thani Oruvan remake, the actress also agreed to play one of the leading ladies in Naga Chaitanya starrer Majnu.
