Shruti Haasan's decision was painful: Vamshi

It's known that Shruti Haasan was the one who was considered to play Nagarjuna's personal assistant and Karthi's love interest in Oopiri/Thozha. She walked out of the project and the role eventually went into Tamannah's hands.
Asked as to why Shruti had a change of mind, Vamshi Paidipally replies, "You should put this question to her. Frankly, it was painful that she said that she won't be doing the film when it was too late. The shoot was to begin the next day and she walked out of the project. Luckily we could get Tamannah on board."
The Telugu-Tamil bi-lingual, which has been made on a huge cost of Rs. 60 cr, will hit the marquee on March 25.
