Recently, speaking in an interview, Shruti Haasan happened to say that no distinction should be made between Hindi and other film industries in the country. She complained that people in Mumbai think she is not doing films if she doesn't do Hindi films. The actress also said in a Mumbai Mirror interview that she has been a part of some blockbusters but didn’t have a great time doing them. "I am making more honest choices now," Shruti was quoted as saying.
It seems Shruti is disappointed that sections of the Telugu media have misinterpreted her remarks to suggest that she regrets having done some Telugu movies. Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, the actress-singer-musician said, "Certain Telugu publications have misinterpreted a quote from a national interview I gave and are writing articles that are untrue. Just to clarify I am extremely proud of having been a part of films like 'Race Gurram' and 'Gabbar Singh'. 'GS' with Pawan Kalyan Garu was life changing!!"
Shruti added that being a part of the Telugu and South Indian film industry is a part of her heart. "That interview was given in context to the Hindi films I did and perception of North versus South in Indian films which in itself I have never liked. Hope that clears things up for everyone," she clarified.
Shruti will next be seen in Ravi Teja-starring 'Krack'.
