The actress is shooting for her upcoming Telugu film ‘Gabbar Singh.’ This film which is the Telugu take of Bollywood's 'Dabangg' and our very own 'Osthi', has Pawan Kalyan flexing his muscles as an attitude-high cop. Shruti Haasan plays a total village girl throughout this flick and the young actress seems to have got into to the skin of her character.

Shruti is reported to be enjoying her stint as a country girl to the hilt. The actress who has so far played hi-fi city-based roles is absolutely gung-ho about her role in 'Gabbar Singh.' The actress is shooting in Pollachi for this film, where a romantic song is being filmed with her and the lead star Pawan.

Shruti's portrayal as a village belle in 'Gabbar Singh' is bound to be compared with the performances of heroines in the original 'Dabangg' as well as it Tamil remake 'Osthi.' But sources in the know reveal that Shruti is giving her best shot to this character.

It is definitely tougher when it comes to portraying village-based roles. The crew of 'Gabbar Singh' is surprised at Shruti's transformation as a village girl for this flick. It remains to be seen if she will click in as the village belle with her fans.
