It's known that Shruti Haasan was in a relationship with British stage actor Michael Corsale for two years and had even attended a few events with him in India along with Kamal Haasan. At the beginning of the year, Shruti announced that she broke up with Corsale.

The actress has opened up about her breakup with Michael Corsale during a 'Feet Up with Stars' show, hosted by Lakshmi Manchu. "I was the cool type. I was very innocent and everyone would boss around me. I am a very emotional person and that's why they could take over. I would say, it was a very good experience for me. Even now there is no formula. Good people are good at times and the same people are bad at times. But I have no regrets. It was overall a good experience for me. I have learned a lot and it was a learning experience. But I always look for that one great love and I will be happy to announce that this is the one I have been waiting for."

Shruti Haasan is currently playing the female lead in 'Laabam' (Tamil) opposite Vijay Sethupathi.
