It is natural for women to gain weight after delivering their first child due to various factors including hormonal changes. But many people with patriarchal mindset always look women as glam dolls and they want them to look slim and sleek always.

Saranya has given a befitting reply to her abusers and trollers by posting a photograph of her with her son.The caption carried with the photo read "Happiness is mother hood .Happiness is feeding my son .Happiness is taking care of my family .and I am proud of it :)". that is an indirect response to her fat shamers:

Saranya Mohan's husband Aravind Krishna also blasted the social media users who trolled his wife for her appearance. with his Facebook post which read,"The online fraternity and body shamers are not worth any answer. She left her acting career to get married and became a mom and considering that 'mass act' the trollers are not even worth any response and none of them had such a 'good mentality."
