After completing her first schedule of shoot for 'Sabash Naidu' under her father Kamal Haasan's direction, top heroine Shruti Haasan is back to the sets of 'S3' the third instalment of the blockbuster 'Singam' franchise directed by Hari. The film stars Suriya and Anushka in lead roles while Shruti will be seen in a role that is as strong as the lead ones.

Earlier it was reported that Shruti plays a CBI officer who helps the lead character Durai Singham IPS (played by Suriya) in cracking down the criminals. Now it has come out that the 'Vedalam' actress actually plays a journalist in the film. Suriya and Shruti's characters will work together throughout the film to bring down the lead villain's crime syndicate.

But the initial reports suggesting that Shruti will don a CBI officer in the film is not entirely false. The multi-talented lass will be appearing in the guise of a CBI sleuth for a kind of sting operation as a journalist to catch a criminal.

The new schedule of 'S3' shooting started in Vizag earlier this week with the participation of Suriya and Shruti.
