Shruthi Turns a New Leaf

Every new year is a special beginning for one and all of us; today, Shruthi Haasan turns 27, and looks forward to a healthy year of stardom. Shruthi is a popular face her 2011 flick 'Anaganaga O Dheerudu' which launched her as a full fledged heroine. She brought the spotlight on herself the previous year, featuring in the music video of her father Ulaganayagan's film 'Unnai Pol Oruvan'; score for this film also fetched her distinction at Edison Awards as the Best Introduced Music Director. In the following couple of year, Shruthi has gone a long way with fame and glam, donning a range of different roles, entertaining audience of every interest.

The actress began young, featuring as Baby Shruthi in many films, apart from making a mark in the music arena, crooning for a few numbers over the years. Her unique voice was unearthed by Harris Jeyaraj for the 2008 flick 'Vaaranam Aayiram', and ever since, Shruthi is a name that is remembered not only for beauty, but also musical talent.
