Shruti Haasan Says No to Directing Kamal Haasan Biopic!

Recently, Shruti Haasan, was in the news for her opinion on directing a biopic on her father, Kamal Haasan. Since biopics of different celebrities, including the iconic musician Ilayaraja, are in production, it was natural to conjecture about a possible Kamal Haasan biopic.
Shruti was also invited to the Father's Day celebration event, and she was peppered with questions. One of them even asked her whether she would direct a biopic on her father. And Shruti made it categorically clear that I definitely won't direct my father's biopic. There are so many talented directors here who can do justice to his life; let one of them make that film.
Recently, there were speculations that Shruti Haasan planned to turn director with a biopic based on her father, Kamal Haasan. She has put the speculations to rest by saying that she will not be directing a biopic on her father because she genuinely thinks that there are better directors who can do more justice on screen regarding a life as magnificent as her father's.
What Shruti Haasan has done here is make a respectful decision about her craft and the legacy left behind by her father. Experienced directors will project Kamal Haasan's story with the depth and expertise it deserves.
