Shriya Saran is playing the title role in a film titled 'Pavithra'. Janardhana Maharshi, who has won a national award with the film 'Devasthanam' is the director. K.Sadhak Kumar and G.Maheswara Reddy are producing the film under Aadesh films banner.

The film is set to be released on May 10th.

The theatrical trailer of the movie has been launched at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad and the movie team has attended the event.

Janardhana Maharshi said, " Many have questioned on directing a film like this after making 'Devasthanam'. Some have criticized that this is a vulgar movie. I have made this movie as a lesson to all of them. We have filmed this movie not giving any room to vulgarity. When I was about to make this movie in Kannada with Puja Gandhi, the producers have come forward to produce in Telugu, hearing the story. Shriya has given 100% judgement to the role. I have worked as a writer for over 90 movies and I have used all my experience in making this movie. I have watched this movie with my mother and my children. I hope all the audience in Andhra Pradesh will watch it with their family".

Producer Sadhak Kumar said, " This is our first movie as producers and we were very impressed with the story when Janardhana Maharshi said it. We are planning to release the movie on May 10th worldwide. We are going to start our second movie soon and Puli Vasu will direct it".
