Shriya Saran is playing the key role in a film titled Pavithra. Janardhana Maharshi is the director. K.Sadhak Kumar and G.Maheswara Reddy are producing the film.

Except one song, the shooting of the movie has completed. The dubbing work has also completed recently and the re-recording work will commence soon.

The director says," This movie will show the greatness of women. I have two daughters and they will feel proud after watching the movie. Every scene will make the audience think. This is a sincere effort by all of us. Though it is a bold movie, I will call it a gold movie. Shriya has done an excellent job as a brave woman in this movie and her character will attract audience.This is a family entertainer movie".
