Shriya Sharma hasn't had a great going in Telugu cinema. Her film 'Nirmala Convent', where she was paired up opposite debutante Roshan (Srikanth's son), didn't do well. Offers seem to have dried up for her here.

But she may well be poised to have a great beginning in Tamil cinema, should everything go well. She is reportedly being mooted to reprise Shalini Pandey in the Tamil remake of 'Arjun Reddy'. The film will star debutante Dhruv (Vikram's son) as the hero. Bala of 'Shiva Putrudu' fame will direct the movie. The director is known for bringing out something new from every performer.

The 20-year-old girl is currently pursuing her Law. She was seen as a child artiste in 'Jai Chiranjeeva' and 'Dookudu', among others. Also a famous TV artist, she hails from Himachal Pradesh.
