Shriya Saran speaks on JNU controversy

Actress Shriya Saran has criticized those who three days ago reportedly held a cultural event in which the participants allegedly glorified terrorists and even raised anti-India slogans at the Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. She is one of the few celebrities in the country to have boldly expressed her opinions on the controversial issue.
"Protesting against Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru in 2013. Omar Khalid, ashamed of you !" she said in a tweet. "Students like Omar study on Indian tax payers money but support terrorists who harm our existence. Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru in 2013 is a terrorist. Period! Supporting him is violation of freedom," she wrote, echoing the views of crores of Indians.
Coming out in support of Anupam Kher, the Bollywood actor with roots in Kashmir, she said, "Why not talk about Kashmiri pundits like @Anupamkher ! Why support terrorist like bloody Omar Khalid!shameful!" she outraged.
