After a break, Shriya Saran is back in Kollywood. She will be seen playing the lead role in a Tamil-Kannada bilingual, titled 'Chandra'. It will be directed by Roopa Iyer.
Giving details about the movie, the director says, "The film is about a last generation princess and the emotions she undergoes. It will be an interesting love story and is based on reality. I have done enough research about princesses."
It is said that Roopa was initially considering having Divya Spandana as the heroine, but finally settled for Shriya.
This will be the 'Sivaji' actress's first full-fledged film in Sandalwood, as she was seen in a cameo earlier in a film starring Puneeth Rajkumar.
