After giving an impressive performance as cricketer Pravin Tambe in his last outing, actor Shreyas Talpade is all set to portray yet another real life character in his upcoming film. He has been roped in to play former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in Kangana Ranaut's upcoming political drama 'Emergency'.

Shreyas recently took to Twitter to share a poster of himself as a young Atal Bihari Vajpayee and wrote, "Honoured & Happy to play one of the most Loved, Visionary, a true patriot & Man of the masses…Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji. I hope I live up to the expectations. It’s time for #Emergency! Ganpati Bappa Morya.”

The actor is super excited to collaborate on Kangana Ranaut on such an ambitious project. He states, “It is a thing of pride to be directed by her in this huge magnum opus called Emergency. I am happy and delighted. Best wishes for the entire team. It’s time for Emergency."
