Even after spending so many years in the industry, Shreyas Talpade still haven't gotten opportunities to express his talent to the limits. He recently talked about how beneath all the glitz and glamour, the film industry is a dark place. He shared that he has been backstabbed by people whom he considered his friends.
Shreyas seemed like a talented and expressive actor when he made his debut with the classic film 'Iqbal'. He believes that most of the people in the industry are phony and by his approximation only 10% are genuine. Explaining his points Shreyas said, "I found out that there are certain actors who are insecure about sharing screen space with me and don’t want me in a film. I have done certain films for friends only keeping their interests in mind but then I have been back-stabbed by the same friends. Then there are friends who go ahead and make films without including me, which makes one question if they are even friends at all."
He further added, "Actually, in the industry, 90% of the people are just acquaintances, there are only 10% who actually feel happy when you do well. The egos are so fragile here."
