After starring in movies like Ivan Thanthiran, Richie and the Blockbuster Vikram Vedha, Kannada actress Shraddha Srinath, known for her hits like U-turn in Kannada and the recent superhit Jersey in Telugu is now the lead in Thala Ajith's Ner konda Paarvai.

In a recent interview, when asked on how she bagged Ner konda Paarvai, the actress revealed that she had received an initial call on being considered for the role, and for almost a month, she did not receive any call, and then she had received a call, and she went for the look test.

After the costume trial, reportedly Shraddha was asked to enact a scene, which didn't quite come well, following which H Vinoth, the director yet again explained, and her performance later impressed the team and she was cast in the lead role, reprising Taapsee's role in Pink. Ner konda Paarvai also starring Abhirami Venkatachalam, Vidya Balan, Andrea Tariang and Adhik Ravichandran is releasing on August 10.
