Manchu Manoj, who badly needs a box office hit, is raring to strike gold this time around. His up-and-coming Shourya, directed by Dasarath of Santosham, Mr. Perfect, and Greeku Veerudu fame, is up for release. Speaking at the audio release function of the film, Manoj cut it short, saying he won't speak in front of his father. "We will meet at the film's success meet," he said, exuding optimism.

Mohan Babu said, "I'm very happy that Manoj got to play this role. Dasarath is now like a family member. In the past, Manoj and Dasarath had teamed up for the film Sree. Now, it is Shourya, " he said, adding that he is not like those who brag about his son's performance. "I praise my son in front of my wife, his brother, saying that he has performed brilliantly, etc."

Regina was all praise for Manoj's energetic and fabulous performance. "He is always full of 'racha' kinda energy. I never got bored on a single day," she said.

Dasarath said, "This is not a regular rom-com, but a concept-oriented love story. You will see Manoj in a new avatar here. Shiva Kumar is a passionate producer. He is my friend now."

Brahmanandam, N Shankar, Veera Mohan, and others were present on the occasion.

The film also stars Prakash Raj, Brahmanandam, Sayaji Shinde, Nandhu, Subburaju, GV, and others. Music is by K Veda. Cinematography is by Malharbhatt Joshi. Editing is by SR Sekhar. Kishore Gopi is getting introduced as a screenplay writer; he has been associated with Dasarath since the days of Mr. Perfect. Gopi Mohan has written the film.
