Coimbatore engineer develops Robot shopper for social distancing!

While the Coronavirus lockdown had been relaxed since last week and huge crowds arrive in every shop, market and places where essentials are sold, Karthik Velayutham an engineer from Coimbatore has devised a way to maintain social distancing.

Karthik Velayutham has designed built a robot which will perform shopping for him, and the machine comprises a cardboard box resting on a four-wheel wooden platform. The computer engineer took 2 days and spent 3,000 rupees to develop this Robot.

While Coronavirus has infected millions and killed more than 297,000 worldwide, this Robot is doing a great help for Karthik by helping him ensure social distancing. Karthik has said in an interview that he ran the robot to the wine shop as a trial to demonstrate how to use it and also to create awareness. Karthik has also reportedly tested this device on the streets and it could function properly.
