Shriya is playing the title role in 'Pavitra' directed by Janardhana Maharshi. The film had a tagline like 'A Boyd and Gold Film.’ Produced by K Sadak Kumar and G Sai Maheswara Reddy, the film had almost completed its shooting but for the canning of two songs.

Speaking on the occasion, the producers say, 'Janardhana Maharshi gave an excellent story for the movie and its movement too is very good. Moreover Shriya performed extraordinarily in the title role. Especially, the story of the film would highlight the value and greatness of a woman. We are honestly making a good effort. It is really a bold film but is like a gold, says our director.

Later, director Janardhana Maharshi says, 'We are showing Shriya in a new angle in this film. Moreover it gives a break for Kaushik too. Roja is doing a never before role in this film. Each character had some speciality. We are making efforts to release the film in March.

Brahmanandam, AVS, Saikumar, Sivaji, Ravibabu and others are in the cast. Music is by MM Srilekha, camera is by Suresh Kumar, while story, screenplay, dialogues and direction are by Janardhana Maharshi.
