The teaser of ‘Shoot-out at Alair’, a web series to be streamed on ZEE5, is out. Srikanth and Prakash Raj are seen as cops and the action drama seems to unfold entirely in the backdrop of Hyderabad. In the Old City, terror plots/riots seem to be planned to wreak havoc. The two male cops look intense, while a Muslim woman is seen with a serious expression on her face.
“Akhtar kills a policeman every year on the day of the Mecca Masjid blasts. Soon, Akhtar is encountered. However, after several years, when a policeman gets killed on the same day, IG Praveen Chand suspects Akhtar’s involvement. Is Akhtar still alive?” the makers say, talking about the premise of the web drama.
Produced by Sushmita Konidela and Vishnu Prasad on Gold Box Entertainment, the web series also has Saranya, Nandini Rai and Teja Kakumanu in other roles. Directed by Anand Ranga, it was shot during the lockdown.
The web series will premiere from December 25.
