The first look poster of Mammootty-Manju Warrier starrer upcoming movie 'The Priest' was released earlier this year. The intriguing poster featuring Mammootty wearing a bishop's like cassock and reading a bible took social media by storm and grabbed the attention of movie buffs. The movie's shoot was progressing at a brisk pace when the lockdown was announced.
After a gap of over 7 months now, the team has resumed the shoot. Going by the location still, it looks like the team is adhering to COVID-19 protocols to their best. Manju Warrier is expected to join the shoot soon. Directed by debutant Jofin T Chacko, the movie is said to be a mystery thriller.
With the script and dialogues co-written by Deepu Pradeep and Shyam Menon, based on a story by Jofin, Mammootty and Manju Warrier are sharing screen space for the very first time despite being in the industry for decades. Nikhila Vimal, Sreenath Bhasi, Saniya Iyyappan, Baby Monica, Jagadish, Ramesh Pisharody, and Madhupal will playing important roles in the movie.
On the technical front, the film has Akhil George as the cinematographer and Rahul Raj as the music director. Jointly produced by Anto Joseph, B Unnikrishnan and VN Babu, the movie's music is by Shameer Muhammed.
